Introducing Jackson Hall Ware

Spoon Senior Art Director James Ware and his wife Lindsay celebrated the birth of a son this summer.

The future art director is invited to apply for a position at Witherspoon sometime around the year 2033, at which time he should mention he shares a birthdate – July 24 – with Witherspoon President Mike Wilie.

Congratulations, Tyler!

Intrepid Witherspoon intern Tyler Marshall continues to not let the grass grow under his feet...literally.

The 22-year-old placed first in his age group and fourth overall at the DFW Trot for the Troops race this November in Denton.  Tyler prepped by backpacking through Europe this summer, while finding time to go on an El Salvador mission trip. Next up is graduation from the University of North Texas and then application into the elite U.S. Navy SEAL program.

Until then, we’ll use up his spare time as he helps Witherspoon clients with their marketing programs!

Power Service Rocks!
Every now and then, we get to do a project that not only benefits the client...but it’s just plain fun to do! The Power Service Products/Ted Nugent campaign is a prime example.

The longtime Witherspoon client – and the nation’s leading manufacturer of diesel fuel additives – asked Witherspoon to conduct an extensive market research plan. What came from that research was no surprise. During these hard economic times, America wants to buy American!

Power Service needed a powerful voice to sing out loud and clear that Power Service has been making diesel additives in the USA for more than 50 years. And whose voice is better than that of the Motor City Madman himself, Ted Nugent. While all have an opinion of him, all would agree that he stands tall for American-made products and all things great about America.

Now that was the easy part. Next came location photo and video shoots with Ted, TV spot production, pump toppers, point-of-sale materials, floor decals, product displays, creation of a rebate program, print ads, life-size stand-ups, Internet support and much, much more.

So far, the “Uncle Ted’s Killer Offer” rebate program, and the Buy American/Made in the USA campaign, are showing a strong increase in sales for Power Service Products, with the deep winter months (their prime sales season) still ahead!

Witherspoon has enjoyed a long association with AllianceTexas, the 17,000-acre mixed-use community in north Fort Worth which is part of Hillwood - a Perot Company. In fact, it dates back to 1989 when we helped with grand-opening ceremonies when there was more dirt than buildings at the site! Our latest project is an attractive, four-color pocket folder for Alliance Landscape Company. Photography in the piece highlights its full line of commercial grounds-maintenance services, all designed to enhance resident companies' curb appeal and common-area aesthetics.

The Spoon continued its tradition of flying high as we were once again the official marketing partner of the 2011 Fort Worth Alliance Air Show held on Oct. 22.

This marks the fifth year of our involvement with this renowned air show. The Spoon account team provided posters, radio ad production and outdoor signage, print ad and website design, and more, all geared to help bring out the crowds to this annual event.

The family-oriented free show featured a full schedule of exciting aerial performances (including the famed U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds), static warbird aircraft displays, hands-on simulators and a fun area just for kids. If you missed it...mark your calendar for next year’s show on October 6-7!
